DESCRIPTION:\nThis event takes place from 4:00 pm ET - 5:00 pm ET\n\n\n\n\n \nYou do not need to log in to register; click the blue "Register Now" button below to get started.\n ------\n\n \n \nEstate planning councils affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils have the honor of nominating qualified individuals to apply for the [Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) ](http://www.naepc.org/AEP)designation through the “[AEP® Council Nomination Program](https://www.naepc.org/affiliated-councils/council-nominated-aep-program).”  Your council’s participation in this program affirms the core value that brings all members of NAEPC together – excellence in estate planning. \n \nThe only graduate level, multi-disciplinary credential in estate planning, the AEP® designation is awarded to professionals who meet requirements of education, experience, knowledge, and professional reputation and holding the AEP® designation helps clients and colleagues understand the designee’s commitment to the collaborative approach to estate planning.  Individuals must meet strict requirements to be considered for a council nomination and applicants must meet stringent qualifications and commit to ongoing recertification requirements. \n \nCouncil leaders are invited to attend to:\n Learn the “nuts and bolts” of the Accredited Estate Planner® designation program Gain an understanding of how the council nomination program works and how its requirements differ from that of the a self-nomination  Address how participation in the program benefits your council and its members Learn about a $500 stipend available to councils that host an AEP® informational reception (virtually or in person) and explore ideas for successful events \nWhen registering, please answer as many questions as possible on the registration form.  Your responses will be used to help create the agenda for the program.\n ------\n\n\n\n\n \nSelf-Care for Your Estate Planning Council, Our 2022 Theme\n \nWikipedia defines self-care as "the process of taking care of oneself with behaviors that promote health and active management of illness when it occurs..."  We believe this concept also applies to your estate planning council during these changing and challenging times.  Council self-care looks like:\n Continuing to be active, even if things are not the same as they once were âMeeting your members where they are while finding a good balance related to the council's activities Nurturing a healthy and engaged membership in spite of challenges brought about by the pandemic Actively governing and managing the council both internally among the board and externally with members and the greater community of estate planning professionals Being creative and trying new things:  meeting time or type; communication schedule; social media Recognizing that things may not return to "normal" for some time \n\n\n\n
