DESCRIPTION:\nThis event takes place from 2:00 pm ET - 3:00 pm ET\n\n\n\n\n \nYou do not need to log in to register! Click the blue "Register Now" button below to get started.\n ------\n\nABOUT THE PROGRAM:\n \nBefore there were estate taxes, there was estate planning; but, it was about the people, process, possessions, places, and THE FAMILY PURPOSE. Without shared purposes, there is often separation and conflict. Many estate planning strategies actually make family governance and harmony more difficult. Can planning help a family go from unhealthy independence to healthy interdependence and endow the planning process? The answer is "yes." Join us for this presentation where you will earn one (1) hour of CE for your AEP designation while learning how a "seven-step process to healthy family governance" can become a critical part of your practice and benefit your clients.   \n \nABOUT THE PRESENTER: \n \n\n \n \n \nTom Rogerson, co-founder of GenLeg Co., is a recognized leader and pioneer in family governance and legacy planning. After four decades of introducing, creating, and delivering family legacy services at State Street Global Advisors, BNY Mellon, and Wilmington Trust, Tom co-founded GenLeg Co., Inc. In this capacity, he has worked with over 270 families facilitating family meetings and creating within those families a shared legacy vision and plan, transparent family trust and communication, a combined "familiness" culture and entrepreneurial mindset, a philanthropic vision, and next generation development. Tom collaborates with the other team members thus endowing the family meeting process as part of the overall estate plan which is designed to last generationally. \n \n \n \n \n \nLEARNING OBJECTIVES:\n \nDevelop a better understanding and appreciation for the importance of family governance: what it is, what it looks like, and how it can become a better part of your practice going forward\n \nGrow your practice by attracting and serving more high net worth families who need family legacy planning\n \nLearn how to more effectively collaborate with other advisors including a family legacy advisor as part of the estate planning team\n \nA recording of this session will be available following the program in the private AEP Portal. \nThis event is a member benefit available only to active \n [Accredited Estate Planner® designees](https://www.naepc.org/designations/estate-planners) and  [Estate Planning Law Specialist certificants](https://www.naepc.org/designations/estate-law/introduction). \n\n If you are interested in learning more about the programs, please visit our website or [contact the national office](mailto:admin@naepc.org).
