A place where there isn’t any trouble. Do you suppose there is such a place, Toto? - Dorothy

When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her dog Toto are whisked away to the magical Land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and on the way, they meet a Scarecrow who wants a brain, a Tin Man who wants a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage.  At the end of the movie, Dorothy wakes up safe and sound in her own home.

A career in association management sometimes isn’t all that different when you really think about it.   We follow our own twisty Yellow Brick Road every day, invested in helping our clients reach the Emerald City… a healthy and thriving organization.  During our career we encounter obstacles like the flying monkeys of a global health crisis.  We find our own scarecrows, tin men, and lions in various forms along the way.  Ultimately, all of that ends when we find ourselves in a happy place, content with the knowledge that we have done what we can to help our clients be the best they can be.

Attend the roundtable to meet new colleagues within the NAEPC network, to discuss our profession yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and to address some of our newest challenges like jam-packed days, the need to learn new skills at a relatively quick pace, changing relationships with trusted vendors and partners, and helping our clients navigate the changing landscape of meetings, events, and engagement.
