Each year, we receive questions about the Council of Excellence application process and how a council can position itself to earn this distinction. While there is no guaranteed formula for selection, this session will provide valuable insight and practical guidance to help you submit a strong, competitive application. Ample time will be reserved for questions and discussion.

  • Walk through the application alongside members of the selection committee leadership

  • Explore best practices for completing and presenting your submission

  • Gain clarity on what the review committee is — and is not — looking for

  • Learn about updates and enhancements incorporated into the 2026 application
