About the Forum
The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) which went into effect on January 1, 2024, is far-reaching and may impact more than 30,000,000 private businesses. The CTA requires certain business entitites to report the personal information of all beneficial owners to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Put simply, the CTA functions as a comprehensive business ownership reporting mechanism that requires most private companies to disclose personal information of company owners and those who control the company. This presentation will cover the key facts of the CTA and how to navigate its challenges including whether a company is subject to the CTA and, if so, how to identify beneficial owners, company applicants and what information and documentation must be filed with FinCEN and when.
Attendees will be provided a PowerPoint presentation and program outline.
